In the tutorial link you gave us, he installed wordpress locally in his computer. If you install wordpress in localhost (local pc or mac) other people can’t access it because it is not online on the internet.

If you want other people to see your wordpress blog, you have to install it on a web host, not in the localhost.

Once you have a webhost, free or paid, then you can install wordpress.

Would you like someone to do that for you?

The host is the machine that you are installing the software to. It could be your own machine or one that you have provided to you by a web hosting company.

Most web hosting companies provide very simple scripts that you basically press a button and it’s installed for you.

If you are using a remote hosting comany like Godaddy.com or wbehostingpad.com, then you just log into the cpanel and search for fantastico. then follow these instructions:

    To Install WordPress using Fantastico:

    1. Log in to your WebhostingPad control panel.

    2. Select ‘Fantastico’ from the ‘Software / Services’ section.

    3. Find the section in Fantastico called ‘Blogs’ and select ‘WordPress’ — a WordPress information screen will load.

    4. Place your mouse over the bold text ‘New Installation’ and click the link.

    5. How to fill out the installation form:

    A. Installation Location

Install on domain : Choose the directory you want to install WordPress on. This domain must be attached to your hosting account.

Install in directory : To install WordPress in the root directory of this domain (WordPress would then be accessible through http://yourdomain.com/), leave this field blank. If you’d like to create a new directory for this domain name to install WordPress in, type in what you would like to call the new directory. For example, if you want to install WordPress to a directory called Blog, which would be accessible through http://yourdomain.com/blog, type Blog in this field. Whatever directory you choose should not already exist.

    B. Admin access data

Administrator username : Type in whatever you want your WordPress username to be. You will use this username to access your WordPress Administrator Dashboard.

Password : Type in a password you will use to access your WordPress Administrator Dashboard. This password is very important to remember. If you lose this password, you will have to reinstall WordPress.

    C. Base Configuration

Admin nickname : This is your name that Internet users will see when they visit your WordPress blog. This should be different from your login username for security reasons. This name can be changed later within your WordPress Administrator Dashboard.

Admin email : Type in your email address.

Site name : Type in the name you want for your WordPress blog. This can be changed later within your WordPress Administrator Dashboard.

Description : Type in a description for your WordPress blog. This can be changed later within your WordPress Administrator Dashboard.

    5. When you are done, click the button Install WordPress.

    6. Verify that all of the information is correct. Then click Finish Installation.

    You’ve successfully installed WordPress!

To have the details of the installation sent to your email, type in your email address and and click Send E-mail.
