where can i find a good easy website builder.?
Question:
I just signed up with Host Gator as my hosting company, they offer some builders but most of them are html which i am not familiar with as of yet. I had a Homestead account a while back and i loved there website builder, no html required which was nice. Is there any site builders out there like this one for download? I don’t want to use templates, i want to start from scratch. The homestead builder allowed me to do this, i am not changing my host though. homestead may have an easy builder but hosting was not that good. Thanks for the help…G

Yahoo! Sitebuilder worked great for me. there is a template program as well as a design it yourself program, which takes a little time, but is totally customizeable. If you can create a powerpoint presentation, you can use Yahoo Sitebuilder and probably have the site up and running in a day or two.
Depending on what you use your website for, you may find it worthwhile to invest into a program. This way, you can reuse it for years and don’t need to rely on another web-site to provide the program (as they seem to come and go at random and are not always compatible with your operating system).
I have a copy of Microsoft FrontPage which is amazingly user friendly, especially if you are comfortable and familiar with other Microsoft software. It’s useful because you can come up with a variety of templates for yourself and save each one until you decide which to upload to your site. FrontPage is no longer in production (stopped in 2006) but I’m sure you could locate a used copy as I did.
Although free options are always great, especially if your site isn’t very complicated, I like the freedom and options that come with Front Page. Also, Microsoft has new programs replacing FrontPage (SharePoint & Expression) which I haven’t tried but are probably just as good, if not better. Just something you might want to look into if you find your website needs are not fulfilled by a downloaded program!
