After obtaining a shared hosting site, What programs would you suggest a individual use that hasn’t built a website in 5 years when i built one at a university using HTML code. And I want 3 websites One is a hobby type that has alot of pdf’s and photos and some possible video(that i may want to customize more than some programs will allow, colors ,fonts and general placement of information on my page) , another may be just a blog of my own and another will be a business site for some friends of mine that have a business that want a website.

For the website which is a blog of your own, you should consider WordPress as its the best blog software available.

For websites you need video/photo, check out A4deskpro (http://www.a4deskpro.com) which comes with a gallery of website templates, with built-in video gallery and photo album support.
