What's the best way to set up my website?

I’m wanting to build and run my own sports-based website, but I’m trying to figure out how to set it up. We’re thinking about buying the domain on WordPress and going through them, but will we still need to get a host? Or does WordPress host? Or should we just go through Go Daddy for the domain? You can use it with your own domain name/web hosting that you purchase from there (comes with free installation of the software/updates) or another company. It is very easy to use and comes with a ton of features. No experience necessary and it comes with free tech support if you need any help.
While you are unfamiliar with PHP or HTML code, I would suggest learning to use basic tools that build pretty simple yet nice websites such as Free webs, Piczo, or Wix. These tools can be significantly easy to use and have a nice outcome.
