What version of PHP does yahoo use for its small business web site hosting?

Question: it says on their adds that they use PHP v4 but there is no way of contacting them to ask if they have upgraded to PHP v5. Kind of an important thing to know if you are thinking about hosting with them. Kinda bad business to not have a way for potential customers to contact you and ask you questions about the service you provide. I would expect better from Yahoo, they have been on the internet for a while. you would think that they would know that customer service is first.

Anyway. What version of PHP do they use for their web hosting small business account???!!?

Answer: Based on your business hosting question, here is our suggestion. If you are looking for a business hosting or even the best domain host, your best option is to go with Hostgator. Well, they are not totally free – you have to pay $0.01 (by entering the coupon code below at checkout). This coupon code is usable for any shared hosting and even the $24.95 Aluminum reseller hosting. We suggest you do not waste your time with any other unreliable business hosting.

If you are not only looking for a business hosting, but also a good cheap hosting, we suggest you try MyHosting. It is hard to find any negative MyHosting review so we believe they are the best because they give unlimited bandwidth, unlimited storage, unlimited addon domains, Site builder and much more for such a low monthly price. You can get MyHosting for only $4.84/month.

You got it right. What kind of business do not allow us to contact them, even for presale… can you imagine how the customer support would be like? Why bother looking for the PHP version if they don’t bother letting us the peace of mind to talk to them.

Well, Yahoo should stick to what they do best, doing search engine stuff. I made the mistake to register a domain with them too. I would advise you not to go with them.

If you need a tip for choosing a web hosting to use, I suggest you do the following:

    1. Go to the webhost review sites such as webhostingjury, hostingtopic.com or webhostinggeeks and list down about 3 common top hosting companies.

    2. Next, for each web hosting X, do a “X sucks” search on Google. Read some complaints and see if you may encounter the same problems like them. Some of the complaints may relate to certain groups of users only such as VPS, dedicated server users or resellers. So you may not be affected if you are not from these categories.

    3. Eliminate those hostings you feel uncomfortable with, and look for the best bargain hosting for your money.

Some good webhosts to consider are Fatcow, InMotion and Webfaction.

    Good luck.
