What is the best bargain web hosting?

A frequently-asked query:

I’m looking to move my website and also my online photos onto one host.
For an idea of bandwidth needed:
I have a few gigs of photos on Photobucket I’d probably put on there, and I’d probably make a portfolio page.
My website is wordpress based, so it’s not very bandwidth heavy. I get anywhere from 300-2,500 hits a day.

There are so many hosting options that I’d really like to get some opinions before I invest.

I know how you feel. There are so many suggestions and review sites our there it is very confusing and none are helping. If you are having problem choosing a web hosting to use, I suggest you do the following:

    1. Go to the webhost review sites such as webhostingjury, hostingtopic.com or webhostinggeeks and list down about 3 common top hosting companies.

    2. Next, for each web hosting X, do a “X sucks” search on Google. Read some complaints and see if you may encounter the same problems like them. Some of the complaints may relate to certain groups of users only such as VPS, dedicated server users or resellers. So you may not be affected if you are not from these categories.

    3. Eliminate those hostings you feel uncomfortable with, and look for the best bargain hosting for your money and meets your requirements.

Justhost, Fatcow and Bluehost are good web hosts to look at.

I’d recommended GoDaddy economy hosting. In terms of reliability I haven’t seen a better company. You might also want to consider 1and1.com

I recommend one of these: http://www.hosttell.com/

Powweb is on a 50% sale – $3.88/month ($46.56/year), and you get a free domain from them.

Godaddy doesn’t offer a free domain, but you can get one for $2.19 if you’re buying hosting from them, plus they also have a 20% sale at the moment. (They don’t advertise it anywhere on their site) Use the "Save 20%" link at http://www.hosttell.com/

Well any day there is nothing like a virtual server or a dedicated hosting. You definitely need them for an ecommerce site. But they all come for a price. For any startup the first requirement has to be to keep the costs down. IT IS NOT EASY TO FIND TRAFFIC TO YOUR SITE & THEN CONVERT IT INTO SALES. It takes a lot of time to build that traffic. My suggestion is that you opt for any low cost shared hosting. I suggest http://www.webhostingpad.com/2093.html. Everything unlimited & for $3 something, Check the review below..You will find everything unlimited here at a very low price. You can read a review here: http://hostingwebsitecoupons.com/webhostingpad

If you still have questions you can write to me in person: earthtechie[at]gmail.com. Thats enough from my side, now give me the best answer & do as i say :p BTW my sites are also on WordPress. I love WP :-)… God bless

there are tons of web hosting companies that you can use to host your website, so i wont list them here since almost everyone who replied listed some of them.

You can just compare and pick the one you like by going to the following url – http://www.webhostinggroup.net/top-ranked-web-hosts-based-on-price-and-features/

Personally, I think both inmotion and webhostingpad offer excellent service for cheap price. However, if you are looking for everything unlimited, go with webhostingpad.
