What is the best web hosting company to use for a web site built in WordPress?

Question:

I’m thinking of going with ipage. Are Godaddy or Hostgator good for this?
Thanks, David

Yes, they are OK. But check out other big hosting companies too that allow such free facilities (built in wordpress).

    Hi David,

I have not heard anything bad about iPage.

I use Hostgator web hosting for most of my sites, and GoDaddy for domain registration only. While it is true GoDaddy does web hosting, people tend to have issues with them.

The web host you decide to go with should use cPanel for site administration. cPanel is pretty much the standard these days. This will help down the road when you’re asking for site specific help.

    Good luck.

I’d go for HostGator. Been using them for a long while and I’ve never been so happy with a web host before.

Both are solid contenders I’d say, they each offer easy Wp install, (click of a button WP installation and configuration). Compare the top 4 WordPress hosting providers here:

iPage and HostGator are both really good. Their web hosting plans are pretty similar with very competitive pricing. However, iPage is not using cPanel control panel. Their vDeck control panel is a little difficult to use, especially for new users.

HostGator on the other hand is using cPanel, which is very user friendly even for new users. cPanel is also very powerful. If you decided to go with HostGator, you can use the coupon code "onlypay1cent" (without the quotation marks) to get your first month for FREE.

Oh, don’t go with GoDaddy’s web hosting. They are good with domain name registrations but not web hosting.

I use Hostgator for some of my WordPress websites and they have been doing very good. HG has cPanel which is a lot easier to work with plus if you don’t want to go the manual installation way for WordPress you’ve got Fantastico DeLuxe on their cPanel which will help you effortlessly install WP in a few clicks. Personally I’d stay away from iPage (or JustHost).

I’d use Godaddy only for domain names not for hosting. Actually for domains a better place to go would be Netfirms.com.

If you decide to go with gator, remember to use their coupons. You can use MONTH1FREE to get your first month for just 1 cent. Use HOSTGATOR25OFFER to get straight 25% off on your first hosting bill.

    Hope that helps.

I would go with either Hostgator or Just Host. This website just did a review about Just Host that helps out a lot. They also offer a free domain when you sign up with the discount price.

The cheapest hosting I’ve found is iPage which also offers free WordPress auto install. They have plans that start as low as $3.50 a month and offer anytime money back guarantee!! They have an excellent customer support. http://www.webhostingbreak.com/list/cheap-web-hosting/

You know, I cross checked on Webhostingbreak reviewing website for the correct information and reliability of iPage. The reviewer has a list of some of the top hosting companies in the industry. I’d recommend iPage as the best web hosting company and their plans are affordable too.

I really recommend: http://www.liquidwebhosting.com , they fully support WordPress and offer all types of hosting including shared, vps and dedicated. Their level support is also incredible.

Here are instructions on how to install WordPress on Liquid Web with a couple of clicks:
Fantastico offers an extremely quick and easy method of installing WordPress. Simply log in to your cPanel interface and select Fantastico from the list of icons. Once you are in the Fantastico interface find WordPress in the list of applications and click on it. You will be asked for several pieces of information that are required to setup the software. If you need help answering these questions please continue reading the guide below as these same pieces of information are also required for a manual installation.
