Web hosting help for small business. Having so much trouble. Help!?

Question: I cant seem to find the right web host for my small business, I have tried looking for the right one for almost a month. I can only afford so much and every time I find the "right host for me", common sense tells me it is to good to be true. I really need a web host that is perfect for a small business, I’m trying to move away from my ebay store. I want my own website, please help I have been over so many already like hostgator, justhost, fatcow, etc.

This is my only hopeful option right now. Someone please help me find the right one!!!

Answer: Based on your business hosting question, here is our suggestion. If you are looking for a business hosting or even the best domain host, your best option is to go with Hostgator. Well, they are not totally free – you have to pay $0.01 (by entering the coupon code below at checkout). This coupon code is usable for any shared hosting and even the $24.95 Aluminum reseller hosting. We suggest you do not waste your time with any other unreliable business hosting.

If you are not only looking for a business hosting, but also a good cheap hosting, we suggest you try MyHosting. It is hard to find any negative MyHosting review so we believe they are the best because they give unlimited bandwidth, unlimited storage, unlimited addon domains, Site builder and much more for such a low monthly price. You can get MyHosting for only $4.84/month.

Do you have more suggestion? Do you disagree with us? Please leave your comment in the box below.

Your hosting should only cost between $5 and $10 a month for a simple website or online store. I have over 50 websites and I go with Hostgator. I pay one fee of $9.99 per month for all of them. Other similar hosting companies for similar prices would be Godaddy, Bluehost, and Hosting.com.

Well, one thing. It’s true that you won’t get a ton of goodies for near free prices. But you can expect reasonable prices to be anywhere between $7-$15 for excellent shared hosting. Have you tried out each of the hosts that you mentioned or did you mean that you’ve explored their offers and found that they were either too good to be true or were very bad services hiding behind a good marketing team? At first when I started hunting for hosts, I came across many of those ‘top 10’ lists and I found prices like $3/month with tons of freebies and goodies that I almost signed up with them. Then I decided to google them, and well, didn’t sign up with the cheapest ones I’d found. Some more research and I signed up with Hostgator and I’ve always found their support and service good. At least, so far everything is perfect. But mine are personal sites and not business ones, so I understand your apprehension. Have you tried Inmotion? They are good for small businesses and they’ve got a 90 day money back period, so you can probably try them out. Check some more hosts here: http://umakeawebsite.com/reliable-hosting/

You said you are moving away from E-bay stores… so I assume that you want to setup an e-commerce website. Do you know how to setup an ecommerce store once you have the hosting or are you planning to figure them out? It is always a good thing to understand the nuances of your website so I’d be all for understanding it yourself and implementing it. But just remember that once you have the hosting, you’ll have to take some time (it might even be a month before you figure out everything) to setup your own store. Another option would be to get someone to set it up on your hosting. You can hire freelancers to do it for you from http://www.freelancer.com or http://www.elance.com if you aren’t very comfortable with tech stuff. To further break it down, once you get hosting, you would have to install software or frameworks (CMS) on your hosting account. There are many such solutions like ZenCart (slightly easier to learn for simple stores) or Magento (bit more complicated). Once you install, you can then upload your product details, setup transaction processing etc. I wrote these down so that you don’t get the impression that once you get your hosting, you’d be all set. There is more work to be done.

    All the best.

All the top web hosting IS like HostGator, JustHost, FatCow, etc. Are you finding it confusing to decide which one to use? Here is a side-by-side comparison of some of the Top 10 web hosting companies that should make it easier. http://bestcheapaffordablewebhosting.com/top-10/

I suggest going with a plan that has an "anytime moneyback guarantee". That way if you don’t like it or for some reason decide to quit running a website, you can get back your unused hosting fees.

I also suggest going with a hosting plan that uses cPanel control panel. It’s much easier to administer your account with it.

And here’s some extra information if you need help with what all the features mean.

JustHost is the pits, believe me you do not want to waste any of your time with their subpar service. I would have to say that InMotion will probably do everything your site would need. They also have a thing called Max Speed Zone Enabled, which means you can choose where you want your data servers to be located that way you can be sure your site will load quickly. Don’t go with GoDaddy if you are looking for a quick connection, though!

The "right host for you" is obviously TLS Hosting http://tlshosting.com

I regret joining many webhosts who do overselling. As you said, when it’s too good to be true, it might be is.

As Radzie pointed out, TLS Hosting has really quick and helpful customer support. I just submitted a support ticket and in 3 minutes I got the reply. Isn’t that amazing? 🙂

Don’t be hesitate to choose TLS Hosting. It’s by far the best of the best. Cheap, good support, high server uptime. What else do you want?
