How do I post my web site that I made with iweb onto yahoo web hosting (small business)?

Question: I am currently taking over a website made in Yahoo! small business web hosting and need help. I don’t like the simplicity of the templates…that I can’t click and drag the items that I want and place things where I want. I want to use a website that I am putting together in iweb and be able to use my domain and everything and still host with Yahoo! I am such a newbie but want to get this quick!

Answer: Based on your business hosting question, here is our suggestion. If you are looking for a business hosting or even the best domain host, your best bet is to go with Hostgator. Well, they are not totally free – you have to pay $0.01 (by entering the coupon code below at checkout). This coupon code is usable for any shared hosting and even the $24.95 Aluminum reseller hosting. We suggest you do not waste your time with any other unreliable business hosting.

If you are not only looking for a business hosting, but also a good cheap hosting, we suggest you try MyHosting. It is hard to find any negative MyHosting review so we believe they are the best because they give unlimited bandwidth, unlimited storage, unlimited addon domains, Site builder and much more for such a low monthly price. You can get MyHosting for only $4.84/month.

Do you have more suggestion? Do you disagree with us? Please leave your comment in the box below.

Dude don’t host with Yahoo or iWeb. Their support is terrible. Go with inspirohost. They are great for newbies and will help you every step of the way.

I should imagine that Iweb design tools only work if you host with iweb. Have you tried site builder from Yahoo. Its probably one of the best site designers out there apart from Dreamweaver. Its very user friendly and doesn’t take long to master. I made this with sitebuilder http://www.cheekyfreebies.com . It dose limit you to certain things but well worth ago.
    Hope this helps.

There are two things that i understand from your question:

    1. You have created a website on iWeb (Code and everything is placed on iWeb server).
    2. You have bought a yahoo web hosting and would like to transfer the contents (web site code and everything) on yahoo web hosting from iWeb.

Keeping in mind the above two things, you can certainly do that. Just copy and paste (using FTP transfers) all your web site code to yahoo web hosting. but do keep in mind that yahoo web hosting only supports PHP, HTML and javascript as a programming language.

If your site has been made using any other language (for example asp.net), then it might not work on yahoo web hosting.

Let me know if you need more information.

iWeb works best if you publish to a folder and then use an FTP program to publish the contents of that folder to your Yahoo! Web Hosting account. You should have an option "Publish to a Folder" in the file drop down.

Once you have your site published to the folder, you will need to have an FTP program to publish. If you don’t have a program, Yahoo! has recommendations in their help pages:

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/smallbusiness/webhosting/gftp/gftp-08.html

The FTP program will ask you to enter your login information for the account. For help with that:
