Hi im wanting to set up a small website hosting business. please help!!?

Question: Hi im wanting to set up a small website hosting and creating business from my home office. What broadband would i need to host about 10 websites maximum? Also what would you suggest as a first web server or do i need multiple (one for each website)? Any help much appreciated. If you need any more information just ask and i will send you it in a message! Thanks! Dom

Answer: Based on your business hosting question, here is our suggestion. If you are looking for a business hosting or even the best domain host, your best option is to go with Hostgator. Well, they are not totally free – you have to pay $0.01 (by entering the coupon code below at checkout). This coupon code is usable for any shared hosting and even the $24.95 Aluminum reseller hosting. We suggest you do not waste your time with any other unreliable business hosting.

If you are not only looking for a business hosting, but also a good cheap hosting, we suggest you try MyHosting. It is hard to find any negative MyHosting review so we believe they are the best because they give unlimited bandwidth, unlimited storage, unlimited addon domains, Site builder and much more for such a low monthly price. You can get MyHosting for only $4.84/month.

Do you have more suggestion? Do you disagree with us? Please leave your comment in the box below.

You could set up your business as a middle man and concentrate mostly on being a webmaster. Your customers want a website and you offer the service . Then you can use whatever hosting, building, and marketing site that you are confident in. Some web builders are reasonably priced and offer the tools needed to build a good website. Simply mark up the cost along with your service charges and create sites without going through the hassles you may get with hosting multiple sites. A lot of these have unlimited bandwidth so you are doing your customers a great service.

Do not go hundreds into debt for unknown entities.

There are many legitimate companies out there that provide multiple domain hosting for a few bucks a month–as low as $4 up to $20 for basic packages with lots of extras.

Here are two I am looking into now, they both have excellent reviews.

What you are suggesting would run you a minimum of $500 a month for a fractional T1, tons in electricity and thousands in equipment and proper backups.

I sincerely wanna share this thoughts to you dom, perhaps you wanna consider making websites as business so that you won’t be bugged too much on techinicalities of hosting websites.

I wanna share you my thoughts that i’ve shared with some people here some minutes ago,
    investments:
    1. time and dedication
    2. $10/monthly for your website’s existence
    3. $30/monthly for you advertisements to be seen on the cyberworld
    ———-
    $40/monthly

The internet is the biggest arena of people now, billions of people are using the internet everyday to therefore, internet is the best way to put up a business because those billions of people are all your potential customers and patrons whatever your products are.

I’d been with the online business for quite some time right now so I know what works and what doesn’t.

actually, most if not all online business really pay you. however, the most of the online business’ products differ in "marketability" that’s the hallmark difference. (this is the reason why you can hear some people saying that they’d been scammed)

Never ever join a business that asks you $50 or more in a month. That’s already a big money to start with. On the internet, always remember, investment of TIME should be more than the MONEY. If they say "get rich quick" that’s clearly not true. There’s no such thing as like that.

Let me tell you some legal ways to earn online.

    1. Google adsense- they pay you to put their links into your website, $0.10-$0.50 per click. (imagine how many people can click on that.)

    2. Click-bank – sell items on the internet using their links. Get 10-75% commissions each item you sell on your links. Say, you sold a laptop that you consigned with them, if it’s $2000, you get 25% of the price as your commissions. (depends on the agreement on the item)

    3. HD publishings – get $30 each time a person gets to avail an info from your site. (people search) ($300-$1000/monthly est.)

    4. Reunion – same as with HD publishings

    5. Tissa – he gives $125 as a sign up bonus. He will also give you $30 for each person you refer to join his "acme-people search engine"
he gives you $5 for the first 30 days. $10 for the next 45 days and $15 for the next 65 days. ( I get 20-30 people in a week)

and the big giver among these is

    6. GDI – this is a hosting company that offers you a website which you can use at any purpose you want, each time you refer 1 person, you will receive 10% commissions or $1, for example, you got 10 people joined your team in a week, you get $10 as commissions and a bonus of $200. Say if those 10 people you referred got 10 people each, you have a pretty $100 and if each of those 10 got another 10 each, you have a beautiful $1,000/monthly. If those 1000 people get 10 each, you have an gorgeous $10,000/monthly.

***most of my colleagues and I get $3000- $7000/monthly to $9,000
for $10,000+ they are "heavy-hitters" they’ve stayed up the line for very long time already.

I know those info’s gonna help you.

If you need any help, you can reach me on my website.
Rest assured that I am here to help you succeed as I helped my team members to be successful as I am.

    Dominic,

I’m going to be brutally honest with you. Looking at your question I can easily tell that you have done absolutely no research on running your own website hosting company. There is much, much, much, more involvement then a server and a broadband line. You do not want to be running a web hosting business from inside your home office. The first thing anyone looking for hosting want’s to know (if they know how to look for a host) is where is the data center located? If you say "In my home office" you just lost a customer.

Your most cost effective approach would be to use another hosting companies servers but act as a "reseller". Commonly known as reseller hosting. Reseller Hosting is aimed at those who want to sell private label hosting or advanced users and web designers. What reseller hosting does is allow you to purchase hosting blocks from a reputable company and then break down that into hosting packages you offer to your customers under your company name.

Example : You buy a reseller web hosting package with 1,000 MB disk space and 1,000 MB bandwidth. You then break this into 10 separate accounts with 100 MB disk space and 100 MB bandwidth each.

You sell these hosting packages to YOUR customers under YOUR company name. You are still responsible for your customers, and customer support.

Now if you signed up customers for all these hosting plans for $10.00 a month your gross profit would be $100.00. Your cost for the reseller hosting package is $15.00 a month thus your profit is $85.00.

This way you do not have to worry about how secure your servers are, admin staff, linux and windows experts, et cetera. So all that cost saving can be spent else where in your business.
